THIS WEEKS WACKY WEDNESDAY WEBSITE IS:
Controversial website BeautifulPeople.com launched as a dating site for attractive people only back in 2009. The site only allows what they deem "beautiful people" to join, and if you are not considered attractive, your profile can be rejected. The same site is now launching a recruiting and job listing service for employers looking to hire only physically attractive employees.
Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com claims, "An honest employer will tell you that it pays to hire a good looking staff. Attractive people make better first impressions on clients, win more business and earn more."
On average, only 1 in 7 profiles is accepted, making up the 700,000 "beautiful" members worldwide.
The majority of new members come from the U.S., Denmark and France. The UK, Russia and Poland are the countries with the highest rate of rejections, according to site statistics.
